We built Heba having ourselves seen how fragmented and complex care systems can be for families. Managing, coordinating & navigating care is overwhelming.
Today, we're left with towers of paper folders, long waits on telephone helplines, and a whole lot of Google-ing. We founded Heba with the mission to make sure that all families have the tools, resources and support they need to receive the best care possible.

Sam Milliken-Smith
Co-Founder
Sam has spent his career working with healthcare organisations, including across the NHS and internationally. He co-founded Heba having seen personally & professionally the challenges facing families caring for children with additional needs.
Uzay Macar
Co-Founder
Uzay is an entrepreneur, researcher, and software engineer. He has been involved in a multitude of commercial and research projects at the intersection of technology and healthcare across the US, Canada, and UK, founding a startup in this space before.
Hamdi Ceylan
Engineering Manager
Hamdi has over 15 years of professional, hands-on development experience, having worked on numerous projects in various capacities, including Developer, Department Manager, Software Development Trainer, and Software Project Manager.
Melanie Dimmitt

Melanie is a freelance journalist. Since launching her debut book, Special: antidotes to the obsessions that come with a loved one's disability, Melanie has written, spoken, podcasted and advocated far and wide for parents travelling not-so-typical paths.

Laurence is a healthtech entrepreneur, software engineer and start-up advisor. He started Accurx 7 years ago and was CTO for the first 6.5 years before leading their infrastructure and platform team. In addition to his technical skills, he has a real passion for how to build company culture and diversity & inclusion.

Anel is the founder of Children in Motion, and a paediatric physiotherapist. Anel has extensive experience across health and care systems, and a special interest in working with children with developmental delay and whose difficulties are complex and neurological in nature.

As a proud ADHDer and parent to neurodiverse children, Jess founded and runs Differing Minds - a social enterprise dedicated to neurodiversity advocacy. She also has a rich background in technology spanning start-ups, scale-ups and global corporations, with a particular interest in data and accessibility.

Richard is a paediatrician with extensive experience in many areas of Child Health. He has been working within Digital Health for 3 years and has had a leading role in several digital health services ranging from telehealth startups to national digital health projects for the NHS.
