Beyond the Tube - A New Podcast Supporting Families of Medically Complex Children

Heba

May 28, 2025

At Heba, we're always on the lookout for meaningful resources that can support families navigating the challenges of caring for children with additional needs. One newly launched podcast that caught our attention is Beyond the Tube: Real Stories, Real Advice – a heartfelt, honest, and deeply informative series hosted by Fi Rodrick.

A New Voice for a Vital Community

Launched in April 2025, Beyond the Tube shines a light on the often-overlooked experiences of families raising children with feeding tubes and complex medical needs. Through solo episodes, expert interviews, and listener Q&As, the podcast offers a mix of practical advice and emotional solidarity – all grounded in Fi’s own lived experience as a parent of a tube-fed child.

It’s a space that embraces the nuance of this journey: the medical complexity, the everyday adaptations, and the need for community.
